Elizabeth Ayers (born Betty Jo Fisher) led a colorful life, was an incurable romantic and rebellious soul. She grew up in San Diego, California, but experimented with different professions and lifestyles in Waikiki Beach and San Francisco before settling down in West Hollywood; it was there where she focused on creating unique pen and inks, many of them mysterious and inscrutable. She died relatively young, leaving behind an exquisite collection of drawings.
