A series of digital prints that remix painting, drawing and digital collage on the theme of the garden. The original installation at Augsburg College's Gage Gallery was called Godwottery: The Garden Reworked. The show featured large scale digital prints by Joellyn Rock and mixed-media works by Deborah Mersky. Visual sources were gleaned from patterns found in nature and patterns imposed upon nature, botanical elements harvested from history, science and folklore. GODWOTTERY DEFINED: ( god-WOT-uhr-ee ) noun. A highly romantic, exaggeratedly elaborate garden, usually composed of bizarrely incompatible plants and objects. A love or affection for such gardens. Affected, archaic language.
