At the time of my trip to Barbados in 1995 during the crop-over festival, I was very much influenced by impressionistic art. I wanted to convey the feeling of impressionism in this series entitled Impressionism in Barbados. I was fascinated by the island, the light, the ocean, and the people, and wanted to digitally portray the light, form, and color of the island.
