See ya later, alligator.... In Florida, sooner or later you will come face-to-face with an alligator. Over a million gators live in Florida's waterways including man-made neighborhood and golf course lakes built on alligator habitat. Observing an alligator as it gracefully glides through the water with a swish of its tail or as it suns itself on the banks of a lake or river is truly a memorable sight. In this gallery you will find images of alligators I photographed over the course of twenty years. Some of the alligators were in captivity but most were living wild in the lakes behind my home in Boca Raton or Naples, Florida. Other photographs are of alligators residing in the many miles of fresh water canals that run along Alligator Alley, and the Tamiami Trail, two 100 mile plus stretches of road that connect Florida's east and west coasts in south Florida. Alligators are truly Florida's favorite reptile.
