I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and although I have lived in New Jersey for twenty years I continue to be surprised at the vegetation of New Jersey. From the wild jungle type growth by the side of the road to the farm fields and vineyard there is an abundance of life. My fascination is not only for the variation of shapes and forms of plants, but by the effect of light throughout the day and seasons. I find that I want to paint that light and capture that magical feel. New Jersey’s landscape is an inspiration to me.
