The big island of Hawaii offers just about every climate and landscape a photographer could ask for, from white sand beaches to rainforest to snow capped mountains. In April 2013 I visited the big island and explored Volcanoes National Park, Kona, Hilo, and several off-shore locations. Although the island is relatively small a lot of time could be spent photographing the diverse landscapes and cultures that Hawaii has to offer. I hope you enjoy this small sample of what I am hopeful to soon be a expanding portfolio series.
