Current Gallery: bagladies ( piece)
Photographs of sculptures which were made by pouring gypsum cement, a very hard mold making plaster, into muslin bags that had been sewn in the shape of body parts. There is a separate bag for each arm, leg, breast, 1 torso bag and 1 head bag. Loose muslin was used on the draped figures. The padded figures' armor was also made by pouring plaster into sectioned muslin bags. They are seated on life size chairs and are approximately 40" in height.
