This collection of art photos represents various expressions of emotion as seen in nature, in late summer, and throughout autumn. These "expressionist photographs" were taken in a historic town, Naperville, Illinois, which is located in the midwestern region of the United States. A few of the photographs were taken in downtown Naperville, along the riverwalk. However, most of the subjects of these photographs are natural specimens of plant and anmimal life indigenous to the prairie. The west suburbs of Chicago, before farmland and later, suburban sprall, the prairie dominated the landscape of this area of the country.
